COMMITMENT PROJECT - BUDOKAN AS A SPEAKER AT THE U14 INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN BELLINZONA
The Budokan Team Prepares for the Second Edition of the U14 International Tournament in Bellinzona, Set for Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11.
With over 180 young talents and teams from Italy, German-speaking Switzerland, and Romandy participating, this event will provide Budokan with a key opportunity to showcase the Team's achievements in the COMMITMENT R&D project directly to young athletes. This project is led by the Techinnova incubator, the main Italian partner.
Budokan’s presentation, titled "COMMITMENT: Innovation for Sports and Health," will be featured in a conference on Friday, June 10, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The conference will include Swiss political representatives, sports delegates (such as those from Juventus FC, Torino FC, Hellas Verona FC, and recent Swiss champion Lugano FC), as well as members of the Ticino Association for the Elderly (ATTE), currently the primary target group of the COMMITMENT project.
This event marks a step forward for project partners in developing the COMMITMENT platform, aiming to expand the reach of the project’s flagship product—the Smart T-shirts—to broader segments of the population. As part of this goal, the COMMITMENT task force has explored partnerships with Swiss football clubs to extend the testing of these "smart shirts" into the sports sector, gathering feedback from a growing audience.
The presentation will begin with a project overview accompanied by slides, followed by a hands-on testing session of the Smart T-shirts. This will provide valuable feedback, observations, and constructive critique—essential for the ongoing refinement of the IoT system. Insights from previous seminars and workshops have already proven invaluable in advancing the project.
Budokan will be joined by project partner MTM and Italian collaborator Techinnova, allowing Budokan to solidify its position as a pioneer of health and sports innovation within Switzerland.
